I started with Tony Clarke at Uxbridge Centre about 8 years ago after my husband died. I enjoyed art at school and got several prizes but was unable to follow it up due to family commitments.
After my husband died, I decided to try get some tuition and I went looking. I looked at several artists in the area and did not find anything which appealed to me until I went to an exhibition Tony had at Uxbridge.
I was very impressed with the excellence of Tony's work and joined his class right away.
I have done acrylic, oils, pastels, charcoal etc with Tony and enjoyed it all. His expert tuition, patience and the ability to bring out the best in his students is an amazing skill not often found. After 8 years, I am still learning! The techniques that he develops are unique and his methods of teaching and encouraging students are amazing. He is a born teacher.
